    This afternoon, the Spanish vocalist Paloma Lázaro Arteaga is presenting her debut album "Ritual", a versatile blend of musical inspirations. She performs with her regular group consisting of Joost Lijbaart (drums & percussion), Sjoerd van Eijck (piano), and Johannes Fend (double bass). Influences such as J.S. Bach, Avishai Cohen, Silvio Rodriguez, and Tigran Hamasyan play a role in her work, where jazz, pop, world music, and free improvisation come together. As a singer, Paloma is further influenced by Mercedes Sosa, Loreena McKennitt, Simin Tander, and Silvia Perez Cruz. "Ritual" is an ode to ancestors, the primitive, and nature. Rituals have been important in many societies but seem to be disappearing in modern times. With this album, Paloma aims to connect ancient rituals with music and art.

    Summertime - and the livin' is easy; You're probably already singing along, right? The International Symphony Orchestra from Lviv and the National Choir of Ukraine 'Dumka,' under the direction of conductor Raymond Janssen, present the highlights from the world-famous masterpiece Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin in Eindhoven. Porgy and Bess is considered a landmark work in American music history due to its innovative blend of jazz, blues, and classical music. In October, The International Symphony Orchestra from Lviv and the National Choir of Ukraine 'Dumka' will bring this masterpiece to the stages of five Dutch concert halls. A total of over 140 young, talented, and passionate musicians, highly acclaimed internationally, will be part of this performance.

    We know him from Nobody Beats the Drum, SKIP&DIE, and C-mon & Kypski: keyboardist and producer Jori Collignon. COLLIGNON is his new solo project, which quickly evolved into a full-fledged band with Gino Bombrini (known from Komodo) on drums and percussion and Yves Lennertz (known from YĪN YĪN) on guitar. The result? Energetic, uptempo music. A perfect blend of Yves’ wild, exotic melodies and Jori's signature soundscapes. COLLIGNON has already released several singles and will release "Bicicelta" in October. This is their first studio album and it takes you on a musical road trip. And they will be making a stop at Kaleidoscope!

This is interspersed with numerous moments of immense expressiveness, such as the pure drama in the 'Agnus Dei' or intense chromaticism, a recurring motif in almost all parts.

Inspired by legendary groups such as the Miles Davis Quintet, Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers, and the Wayne Shorter Quintet, the Giedra-Valente Quintet brings original music that both honors the tradition of Hard Bop and explores new paths. With striking melodies and enchanting solos, this quintet unites three nationalities (Spain, Lithuania, Portugal) and reflects a strong, long-lasting friendship.

At fifteen, he started playing guitar and writing his own songs, inspired by artists like Bob Dylan, Hank Williams, and Tom Waits. His unique voice and emotional intensity quickly caught the attention of local music enthusiasts. After high school, Early James decided to try his luck in the larger music cities of the South. He moved to Birmingham, where he became an active part of the thriving music scene. There he met Dan Auerbach, and the rest is history...
