The Unplugged Experience
Tribute to MTV UnpluggedFri 14 Mar ’25In the 1990s, MTV Unplugged celebrated its heydays. The groundbreaking TV series invited the era's biggest artists to a small venue or studio to strip down their music to a raw, acoustic version. In The Unplugged Experience, seventeen renowned musicians pay a respect to the series with music by legendary artists such as Nirvana, Eric Clapton, Lenny Kravitz, George Michael and Sinead O'Connor. This is not your typical tribute highlighting one band, but a special overall experience that honours the intimacy of an acoustic setting. This evening you will relive the music that characterised the 90s, with music by, in addition to the aforementioned artists, Pearl Jam, Oasis, Alanis Morissette and more!

Pavel Haas Quartet & Boris Giltburg
Chamber music by Dvořák and BrahmsMasters of Chamber MusicThu 27 Mar ’25"As if their lives depend on it," The Times wrote about the playing of the Pavel Haas Quartet. The four Czechs now take the stage with pianist Boris Giltburg. He previously made a splash in Eindhoven with his performances of sonatas by Beethoven and Shostakovich. Now, however, he demonstrates his prowess with Brahms and Dvořák. The quintet by the Czech composer Dvořák is the most beautiful flower among piano quintets: so sunny, so radiant, so colorful - Czechs never composed better.

Jorge Luis Prats
Cuban master pianist performs complete Ibéria by AlbénizFamous PianistsTue 1 Apr ’25Fourteen pianos he left behind in Cuba when he emigrated to Spain. Forty-five years old, and finally freed from Castro's travel restrictions, he was a rising star in Europe and the United States. A sensation it was, that first time in Amsterdam: Jorge Luis Prats, Albéniz's complete Ibéria, Master Pianists series, 2016. The only one who ever preceded him in it was piano legend Alicia de Larrocha, in the 1980s, long ago. Usually, only individual parts are being performed. At the time, Prats said in an interview: 'This is the most difficult music ever written for piano. Technically alone it is challenging, with each individual movement you spend a year studying, but it is mainly the musical aspect that is challenging.'
