Koyaanisqatsi by the Philip Glass Ensemble
A musical film experienceSun 6 Oct ’24Koyaanisqatsi is the first film in director Godfrey Reggio's Qatsi trilogy, for which the film score was composed by Philip Glass. Tonight, the Philip Glass Ensemble, founded by Glass himself, performs the film's soundtrack live alongside the movie. Koyaanisqatsi is renowned for its groundbreaking use of time-lapse photography and slow-motion techniques to depict the frenetic pace of modern life and its impact on the natural world. Glass' music for the film is considered one of the great masterpieces of the 1980s, an expansive minimalist work featuring synthesizers, deep male voices, and brass instruments.

Moroccan-Dutch rising starThu 10 Oct ’24The Dutch-Moroccan singer Numidia was first seen by the general public during her participation in The Voice Kids, where she reached the finals at that time. A few years later, she signed a record deal with TRIFECTA and has since become a well-known name in contemporary pop music with hits like "Meli Meli" and "Tout Est Bon." In 2023, Numidia participated in the popular show Beste Zangers, where she surprised many with her impressive rendition of "Arcade" by Duncan Laurence. Tonight, Numidia brings music and culture together in an intimate setting, where she will perform not only her own work but also her renditions of songs from Beste Zangers.

The band excels at creating catchy pop music and reaching online listeners from all over the world. During their visit to Eindhoven, they will treat us to their most successful covers and hits like "My Stupid Heart" and "The Journey Starts Today" (known from Pokémon Journeys).

Fantastic Cat
Rock in the style of The Babies with electric folkAmericana MondaysMon 21 Oct ’24Although Fantastic Cat was a supergroup from the start, with four members who each had a successful solo career, two years ago the band was still an unknown rock band with a small group of fans. That changed with the release of their debut album 'The Very Best Of Fantastic Cat.' With their '60s electric folk, '70s rock in the style of The Babies, and storytelling lyrics reminiscent of Bob Dylan, their fanbase quickly grew. While the debut was a collection of songs from the band members as individual songwriters, for their new album 'Now That’s What I Call Fantastic Cat,' the band wrote the songs together for the first time. They combined their strengths and collaboratively penned a collection of touching and humorous songs with catchy melodies, beautiful harmonies, and surprising arrangements.

COLLIGNON

COLLIGNON is his new solo project, which quickly evolved into a full-fledged band with Gino Bombrini (known from Komodo) on drums and percussion and Yves Lennertz (known from YĪN YĪN) on guitar. The result? Energetic, uptempo music. A perfect blend of Yves’ wild, exotic melodies and Jori's signature soundscapes. COLLIGNON has already released several singles and will release "Bicicelta" in October. This is their first studio album and it takes you on a musical road trip. A few years later, he has become a fixture in the charts. In 2021, his debut album, 'Metejoor', was released, featuring hits like '1 Op Een Miljoen', 'Wat Wil Je Van Mij', and 'Ze Meent Het'. He also collaborated with prominent Dutch artists such as Snelle ('Kijk Ons Nou') and Emma Heesters ('Rendez-Vous'). In 2023, Metejoor released his second album, 'Joris'. A very personal record that he showcases, along with his many hits, during his concert at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven!
