Koyaanisqatsi is the first film in director Godfrey Reggio's Qatsi trilogy, for which the film score was composed by Philip Glass. Tonight, the Philip Glass Ensemble, founded by Glass himself, performs the film's soundtrack live alongside the movie. Koyaanisqatsi is renowned for its groundbreaking use of time-lapse photography and slow-motion techniques to depict the frenetic pace of modern life and its impact on the natural world. Glass' music for the film is considered one of the great masterpieces of the 1980s, an expansive minimalist work featuring synthesizers, deep male voices, and brass instruments.

American singer-songwriter Aaron Boyd made his debut on the Americana scene in 2019 with his album "Until The End." He began writing songs to process his feelings after struggling with alcohol addiction, and it turned out to be a brilliant move. After becoming a father, he turned his life around, quit drinking, and decided to pursue his passion for music seriously. On his second album "Come Undone," which he self-released, Boyd sings about how he climbed out of the depths. His music is reminiscent of artists like Mark Lanegan, John R. Miller, John Moreland, and Arlo McKinley. This man could become something big!

The Dutch-Moroccan singer Numidia was first seen by the general public during her participation in The Voice Kids, where she reached the finals at that time. A few years later, she signed a record deal with TRIFECTA and has since become a well-known name in contemporary pop music with hits like "Meli Meli" and "Tout Est Bon." In 2023, Numidia participated in the popular show Beste Zangers, where she surprised many with her impressive rendition of "Arcade" by Duncan Laurence. Tonight, Numidia brings music and culture together in an intimate setting, where she will perform not only her own work but also her renditions of songs from Beste Zangers.

Discover the captivating music of Dutch pianist and composer Joachim Challem. After years of studying piano, he realized that life encompasses more than just music. He firmly believes that nature is the greatest teacher for all the complex thoughts a person can acquire. Therefore, he spends part of his life in the uncharted mountains of northern Spain, searching for his own sense of home. He composes his music on various pianos in different countries, environments, and moods. His music resonates with many people due to its honesty. His emotions, voice, movements, and reactions are communicated through his piano.

The British alternative rock band Tindersticks is known for their unique blend of dark, cinematic music with influences from soul, jazz, and post-rock. The sound of Tindersticks is often characterized by the deep baritone voice of Stuart Staples and rich instrumentation, including strings and brass. The band's music often carries a cinematic quality, which is not surprising considering they have composed soundtracks for as many as ten films. Their music is both melancholic and romantic, with lyrics often being poetic and introspective.

The Canadian band Walk off the Earth first went viral in 2012 with their YouTube cover of "Somebody That I Used To Know" (Gotye), where the band members played one guitar together. That would not be the last time the band captured global online attention. Many popular YouTube covers and successful original songs followed. The band excels at creating catchy pop music and reaching online listeners from all over the world. During their visit to Eindhoven, they will treat us to their most successful covers and hits like "My Stupid Heart" and "The Journey Starts Today" (known from Pokémon Journeys).

Although Fantastic Cat was a supergroup from the start, with four members who each had a successful solo career, two years ago the band was still an unknown rock band with a small group of fans. That changed with the release of their debut album 'The Very Best Of Fantastic Cat.' With their '60s electric folk, '70s rock in the style of The Babies, and storytelling lyrics reminiscent of Bob Dylan, their fanbase quickly grew. While the debut was a collection of songs from the band members as individual songwriters, for their new album 'Now That’s What I Call Fantastic Cat,' the band wrote the songs together for the first time. They combined their strengths and collaboratively penned a collection of touching and humorous songs with catchy melodies, beautiful harmonies, and surprising arrangements.

We know him from Nobody Beats the Drum, SKIP&DIE, and C-mon & Kypski: keyboardist and producer Jori Collignon. COLLIGNON is his new solo project, which quickly evolved into a full-fledged band with Gino Bombrini (known from Komodo) on drums and percussion and Yves Lennertz (known from YĪN YĪN) on guitar. The result? Energetic, uptempo music. A perfect blend of Yves’ wild, exotic melodies and Jori's signature soundscapes. Experience the original Spider-Verse film like never before with 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' Live in Concert! During this concert, the Oscar-winning film will be shown on a giant HD screen, accompanied by an impressive musical performance from a range of musicians and instrumentalists. This includes a full orchestra, a scratch DJ on turntables, percussion, and electronic instruments, performing the tracks from the film live. A rock band and a string quartet? Hooverphonic proves that they blend together wonderfully on November 7 at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Twenty years after their first acoustic tour, the popular Belgian rock band travels through venues accompanied by, indeed, a string quartet. The motto during the performance in Muziekgebouw Eindhoven is; Sit Down and Listen to Hooverphonic. A command that sounds like music to the ears and immediately clarifies what this promising evening is all about. This special performance promises pure music, stripped down to the core. The Flemish singer Joris van Rossem, better known as Metejoor, was discovered almost 'accidentally' in 2016 by a producer who felt that his voice 'hit like a meteor'. A few years later, he has become a fixture in the charts. In 2021, his debut album, 'Metejoor', was released, featuring hits like '1 Op Een Miljoen', 'Wat Wil Je Van Mij', and 'Ze Meent Het'. He also collaborated with prominent Dutch artists such as Snelle ('Kijk Ons Nou') and Emma Heesters ('Rendez-Vous'). In 2023, Metejoor released his second album, 'Joris'. A very personal record that he showcases, along with his many hits, during his concert at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven!

Scottish artist Derek William Dick, better known as Fish, gained fame as the lead singer of the British progressive rock band Marillion. During his Farewell Tour, he bids farewell to his fans after four decades filled with hits, memories, and performances. In 1990, he made his solo debut with the album 'Vigil In A Wilderness Of Mirrors,' and the track 'A Gentleman’s Excuse Me' even earned him a Top 40 hit. Accompanied by talented musicians, old friends, and co-writers, he is coming for a final concert to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. The setlist for each concert during his farewell tour will be different, and, of course, it will include songs from his time with Marillion!

The world-renowned Harlem Gospel Choir is known for their powerful singing style, beautiful sound, and infectious energy. For almost four decades, they have been America's premier gospel choir, traveling the world to diverse audiences with the inspiring power of black gospel music. Following successful tribute shows honoring Nina Simone and Whitney Houston, they now pay homage to the iconic soul singer Aretha Franklin. After a year of sold-out shows and performances at all major festivals, Jaap Reesema is coming to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven for the first time! In 2010, we got to know Jaap when he won the third season of X Factor. What followed was a successful career in both the Netherlands and Belgium. With hits like "Nu Wij Niet Meer Praten," "Alles Komt Goed," and "Mijn Kleine Presidentje," he consistently strikes a sensitive chord. In 2022, Jaap participated in the Dutch TV programme Beste Zangers, where he delivered a beautiful rendition of Nielson's song "Grijs." Jaap ranked at position 280 in the Radio 2 Top 2000 of 2023 with this song!

The love for funk, disco, and afrobeat brought the men of Cavolo Nero together. The psychedelic groove band is known for their energetic music and equally energetic performances. In 2022, they released their debut EP and toured the Netherlands with Popronde – a great kickstart for national recognition. Their resounding performance at Eurosonic truly tipped the scales, after which their schedule quickly filled up with festival shows. Tonight, they are swapping large festivals for the intimate club setting of M. You're guaranteed a danceable evening with this six-piece band! And we should know: Cavolo Nero played earlier this year during the festive opening of M.
