Clannad says goodbye in a legendary way

Sadly, Clannad said farewell with the international Farewell tour In A Lifetime. Music of timeless power and beauty, evidenced by the still-moderate popularity Clannad enjoys in the year the band celebrates its 50th anniversary.

After a sold-out first night on April 15, a second show took place on April 18. As befits this legendary formation, the concerts were phenomenal.

We enjoyed the inimitable power and versatility of Clannad for the last time. Elements of folk, folk rock, traditional Irish ballads and New Age came together in a unique blend. The sound carried us away into the wildness and melancholy of Donegal, where Clannad has its roots.

A large number of shows were dedicated to founder Padraig Duggan, who passed away in 2016. Trust us: the standing ovations at these shows were absolutely deserved!
