Professional artists introduce you to 6 of the 50 existing flamenco styles, known as 'palos,' in a magical setting full of flowers, all enhanced by a beautiful light show. We Call It Flamenco is the perfect evening for lovers of Spanish culture!

In September, Ilse returns to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven with her band, performing not only music from her new album "Tainted," but also many of her big and well-known hits from her 25-year career, such as "Miracle," "So Incredible," and "Changes."

    When it comes to progressive rock, Haken is the name that springs to mind. Since the sextet from England began making music in 2004, they have been one of the most adventurous bands within their genre. Each album they have released is unique, but they are connected by their unpredictable time signatures and distinctive songwriting and vocals. Their most recent album, "Fauna," epitomizes this diversity at its best. Haken describes the album as their 'sonic rainforest', where they blend old sounds with new, daring ideas. During this concert, they will perform "Fauna" in its entirety, as well as a selection of their older work.

    Schalk Bezuidenhout has come a long way since his humble beginnings in a strip club in his hometown of Johannesburg. His major breakthrough came when he was selected as the opening act for Trevor Noah's Nation Wild Tour. Since then, he has been on the path to becoming one of South Africa's most sought-after comedians. In 2023, he performed at the prestigious Fringe Comedy Festival, and to top it off, he released a Netflix special. Despite recently getting married, Bezuidenhout feels older, wiser, and more mature, but his sole aim remains: to stay connected with the youth. The question remains whether he will succeed in doing so.

    Singer, composer, and playwright Somi Kakoma, better known as Somi, takes the stage at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven this season alongside the Metropole Orchestra, under the direction of honorary conductor Vince Mendoza. Somi blends her jazz background with her love for the music of the African continent. In 2021, she became the first African woman to be nominated for a Grammy in the Best Jazz Vocal Album category for her live album "Holy Room: Live At Alte Oper." Somi has previously collaborated with Gregory Porter, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and Seun Kuti.

    The Hammond soul band The Pulitzers consists of drummer Salle de Jonge, guitarist Bas van der Wal, percussionist Phil Martin, and Hammond organ player Frank Montis. Their music is an engaging fusion of soul, funk, and rhythm-and-blues, with the raw Hammond and guitar driven by rhythmic percussion and drums. Inspired by legends like The Meters, Jimmy McGriff, and Booker T, The Pulitzers perform their own original songs with a single goal: to ignite a fire! When these four dedicated musicians play together, sparks fly.

    The legendary Belgian duo Clouseau is bringing the CLOUSEAU40 Clubtour to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven! 40 years of Clouseau deserve to be celebrated. In late 2024 and early 2025, the gentlemen will perform 12 times in a sold-out Sportpaleis in Antwerp, and now they are also touring the stages in the Netherlands. Koen and Kris Wauters, the charismatic brothers behind Clouseau, will treat you to an evening filled with their greatest hits. From the heartwarming 'Anne' to the irresistible 'Daar gaat ze' (There She Goes); all the hits will be showcased.

    Last year, Jana Mila flew to Nashville with a substantial collection of self-written songs and returned home with a dream debut and a record deal. The renowned American label New West Records gave her complete freedom to work on her debut album with producer Todd Lombardo (Kacey Musgraves) and a group of legendary musicians. The songs of the 26-year-old singer are characterized by strong lyrics and surprising, catchy melodies, drawing inspiration from artists such as Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Julia Jacklin, Carly Simon, and Phoebe Bridgers. With a strong band around her, she easily transitions on stage between quiet, melancholic songs and energetic, upbeat numbers.

    In 2022, Sven Hammond delivered a delightful set during the Clubnight of our jazz festival: So What's Next?. In September, he returns to the Hertog Jan Hall of Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, accompanied by his Big Band and orchestra, to present a swinging program celebrating the legend, 'Brother Ray' Charles. Expect not only his world-famous hits like 'Georgia', 'Hit The Road Jack', and 'Hallelujah', but also beautiful arrangements of other contemporaries transformed into timeless classics by Brother Ray.

His shows are a mix of sharp observations, hilarious anecdotes, and a touch of absurdism. With his natural charm and impressive talent, he manages to highlight the everyday in a new and funny way. In September, Jimeoin will be coming to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven for the first time with his show "Who's Your Man?!."

Their lyrics are sharp, touching, and humorous, always casting a loving eye on our struggles with being human. With the support of talented musicians, they tread a unique path between electronic pop music and semi-acoustic theater repertoire. And always with a perfect blend of humor and emotion.

    In de beeldende theatervoorstelling word je meegenomen in de belevingswereld van een klein olifantje genaamd kleine Snuf. Kleine Snuf kan niet in de rij lopen, er is ook zoveel te zien! Steeds wordt hij maar weer teruggefloten: “In de rij, Kleine Snuf!”. Maar Snuf is lekker eigenwijs en doet het anders: hij mag er zijn, gewoon zoals hij is. Klein Amsterdam Producties maakt een muzikale en beeldende theatervoorstelling voor 2+ op basis van het populaire prentenboek Gewoon zoals je bent van Jonny Lambert.

The illustrious Hungarian guitar duo has been coming to Eindhoven for years. A celebration that always stays with you. Now they bring along a violinist: the Belgian Noé Inui. The interaction of two guitars and violin in Sarasate's wildly virtuosic fantasy on themes from Bizet's opera Carmen promises to be a true spectacle.

    Master sitarist and composer Anoushka Shankar is coming to Eindhoven for the first time! She was born in London as the daughter of the legendary Indian sitar virtuoso Ravi Shankar. Anoushka extends her repertoire beyond traditional Indian classical music and explores various genres, including fusion, world music, and electronic music. Shankar has collaborated with artists from diverse cultures such as Herbie Hancock, Sting, and her half-sister Norah Jones. During this concert, she will showcase the beautiful music from her previous albums and perform tracks from her latest EP, "Chapter II: How Dark It Is Before Dawn."

    What the passionate climate scientist Joyeeta Gupta and violinist Lonneke van Straalen have in common? They both look at things with a fresh perspective, shake things up significantly, and create new forms. Originating from India, Joyeeta Gupta is a professor at the University of Amsterdam and at the IHE-Delft Institute for Water Education, and the winner of the prestigious Spinoza Prize (the 'Dutch Nobel'). Justice is her great motivator. After experiencing the Union Carbide gas tragedy in Bhopal, India, as a young woman and witnessing the impact of large multinationals on developing countries, she dedicated herself to environmental and development issues.
