23 Kasım Cumartesi günü, Merhaba Eindhoven festivalinin üçüncü edisyonu, tamamen Türk kültürüne adanmış olarak Eindhoven Müziekgebouw'da gerçekleşecek. Günün mutlak zirvesi, popüler Türk rock grubu maNga'nın konseri olacak. 2010 yılında Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması'nda 'We Could Be The Same' şarkısıyla ikinci olan maNga, bir gecede dünya çapında üne kavuştu. Bu konser maNga'nın Hollandadaki tek konseri ve ünlü grup 20. yılını kutluyor.

maNga

20 yıl sonra bile maNga, hala Türkiye'nin en popüler gruplarından biri. Grup, rock, hip-hop, elektronik ve geleneksel Türk müziğini ustalıkla harmanlıyor. Grup 2009 yılında MTV EMA ödülünü kazandı. O tarihten bu yana Limp Bizkit ve Queensryche gibi sanatçılarla aynı sahneyi paylaşan grup, Budapeşte Sziget ve Mannheim Türk Rock Festivali gibi ünlü festivallerde sahne aldı. Grup 2010 yılında Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması'nda Türkiye'yi temsil etti ve yarışmayı ikinci sırada tamamladı. Bu, onların uluslararası çıkışlarının başlangıcı oldu. Son albüm 'Anthroposen 002' maNga'nın durmaksızın kendini yenileyen bir grup olduğunu kanıtlıyor. Grubun Türkiye'de bu kadar uzun süre zirvede kalması elbette boşuna değil. 


Music from the Orient

Music from the Orient yine sahnede. Bu grup, doğu Akdeniz, Anadolu, Levant ve Balkanlar'ın zengin müzikal mirasını icra edecek. 2017 yılında Eindhoven'da Mercan & Bülent Kocuroǧlu, Başak Ebret ve Önder Babur tarafından bir proje olarak kurulan Music from the Orient, Türkçe, Kürtçe, Arapça, Yunanca, Ladino ve Balkan dillerini de içeren geniş bir müzik ve dil yelpazesi sunmaktadır. Music from the Orient, farklı geçmişlerden ve kültürlerden insanları bir araya getirmeyi amaçlıyor ve özellikle Eindhoven'da, aynı zamanda Hollanda'nın diğer bölgelerinde de birçok çok kültürlü etkinlik düzenlemiştir.


DJ Blue Flamingo

DJ Blue Flamingo (Ziya Ertekin), önceki etkinliklerde olduğu gibi yine afterparty'yi sunacak. Çok sayıda festivalin yanı sıra Lowlands, North Sea Jazz, Roskilde ve Fransa’da, Paris Festival d'Ile’de  çaldı. Özellikle Merhaba Eindhoven için baba toprağı olan Türkiye'nin zengin müzik geleneğini mercek altına alıyor. Bu etkinlikte çağdaş ve geleneksel Türk şarkılarından zengin bir seçki ile yer alacak.

On Saturday, November 23rd, the third edition of the Merhaba Eindhoven festival will take place at Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, entirely dedicated to Turkish culture. The absolute highlight of the day is the concert by the popular Turkish rock band maNga. In 2010, maNga became world-famous overnight when they came second in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'We Could Be The Same'. This is maNga's only concert in the Netherlands, and now the band is celebrating its twentieth anniversary!

In the afternoon, visit the free Turkish Bazaar, with music, workshops, food and drink, and other activities.

maNga
Even after twenty years, maNga remains one of the most popular bands in Türkiye. The band effortlessly weaves rock, hip-hop, electronic, and traditional Turkish music together. In 2009, they won the MTV EMA award. Since then, they have shared the stage with artists such as Limp Bizkit and Queensryche and have performed at renowned festivals like Sziget in Budapest and the Turkish Rock Festival in Mannheim. In 2010, they represented Türkiye at the Eurovision Song Contest and finished in second place, marking their definitive international breakthrough.

Their most recent album, 'Antroposen 002,' showcases maNga's continual reinvention. It is no wonder they have been at the top of the Turkish music scene for so long.

Music from the Orient
Music From The Orient's performances feature the rich musical heritage from the Eastern Mediterranean, Anatolia, the Levant and the Balkans. Founded in 2017 in Eindhoven as a project of Mercan & Bülent Kocuroǧlu, Başak Ebret and Önder Babur, Music From The Orient covers a wide range of musical styles and languages, including Turkish, Kurdish, Arabic, Greek, Ladino and languages from the Balkans. Music From The Orient aims to connect people from different backgrounds and cultures, and has already organized many multicultural events, especially in Eindhoven, but also in the rest of the Netherlands.

DJ Blue Flamingo
DJ Blue Flamingo (Ziya Ertekin) will once again host the afterparty, as he has in previous editions. He has performed at events such as Lowlands, North Sea Jazz, Roskilde, and Festival d’Ile de France in Paris. For Merhaba Eindhoven, he will delve into the rich musical traditions of Türkiye, his father's homeland, playing a mix of contemporary and traditional Turkish tracks.

Free seating
At the concerts during Merhaba Eindhoven, there are both seated and standing places available. It is not possible to reserve a fixed spot in advance.
