As a street musician, Korean-American blues poet Nat Myers tried to earn some extra money after the pandemic broke out. When Myers began sharing his music on social media, he quickly caught the attention of none other than Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. This eventually led to the recording of his debut album, "Yellow Peril." The album is steeped in blues and folk, but with a contemporary twist. It depicts Myers' journey through America and his search for his cultural identity, with songs that blend old blues traditions with modern themes such as racial identity and social justice.

As the son of Korean immigrants, Myers grew up with a strong awareness of his racial and cultural background, which is clearly reflected in his music. Each song tells a story, from personal struggles and reflections to broader societal issues. Furthermore, his debut album is a tribute to the blues legends who inspired him. With a respectful nod to icons like Robert Johnson and Lead Belly, Myers keeps their spirit alive while sharing his own voice and message.
