Sven Hammond is coming to our Hertog Jan Zaal with his Big Band and orchestra, presenting a swinging program centered around the legend, The Genius, 'Brother Ray' Charles! Ray Charles was a pioneer in the soul music genre in the 1950s by combining blues, jazz, rhythm-and-blues, and gospel in his music. The Sven Hammond Big Band focuses on the fascinating life story of this jazz god and performs hits like 'Georgia', 'Hit The Road Jack', and 'Hallelujah', as well as beautiful arrangements of other contemporaries that Brother Ray transformed into timeless classics.
