Hit The City is all about (re)discovering new music. Lovers of indie and hip-hop, jazz, garage and singer-songwriters will be able to indulge themselves for three days in the weekend of 19 to 21 October. During this free festival, you can discover the most promising acts of the moment, spread more than ten cool locations, including Muziekgebouw Eindhoven! Be surprised by a line-up of over 50 acts and collectives.

Originally from Birmingham, the band Chartreuse consists of Hattie Wilson, Mike Wagstaff, Rory Wagstaff and Perry Lovering. Before the band was formed, the members had been friends for quite some time and seemed to be inseparable from the very beginning. Soft, yet strong balanced sounds characterise their music.

Although the band has been around since 2014, they only released their own music in 2019. During all these years, they have steadily worked on their rise and refined their sound. Chartreuse's music exudes warmth, intimacy and melancholy, beautifully supported by alternating vocals from Mike and Hattie. Their songs act as a kind of personal therapy for the songwriters, who are able to create powerful and profound lyrics. The results are dark, ambient pop songs with emotional and honest content.
