The Metropole Orchestra was one of the first European orchestras to bring game music to concert halls. Now, as game music evolves and receives more attention, The Smartphone Orchestra and the Metropole Orchestra are taking it a step further. What happens when we bring not only music but also gameplay to the concert hall? The audience plays a specially designed game, where the achieved scores determine 'The Score': the music performed by the orchestra. The result is a completely new and sometimes hilarious concert experience, where the audience and the orchestra collaborate. Tonight, you will hear music from Horizon Forbidden West and Assassin's Creed, but also the surprising soundtracks of Cuphead and Undertale.

To participate in the interactive part of this concert, you'll need a smartphone with the free 'The Score' app installed. Download it here before coming to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Experience with playing games is not necessary; the games are designed to be accessible. After all, we want you to immerse yourself in the collaboration with other audience members and the musical interaction with the orchestra.

Games in Concert: The Score is made possible in part by Prince Bernhard Cultuurfonds, Creative Industries Fund NL and Cultuurloket DigitALL.
