The Utrecht-based trio .multibeat seamlessly blends beats, R&B, and jazz. Thijs van Zutphen (bass), Aron Smit (drums), and Boudewijn Pleij (keys) combine modern hip-hop sounds with colorful jazz and R&B influences, sometimes adding a touch of disco or house. They draw their inspiration from the music of artists like Robert Glasper, The Free Nationals, BADBADNOTGOOD, and Anderson .Paak.

Their new album "channel island," released in April 2024, is packed with vocal features. It's a tribute to the Utrecht neighborhood of Kanaleneiland, where the album was created. The album features tracks with Pete Philly, GINGE, vAn, Thierry Ganz, Kay Slice, Joya Mooi, Melle Jutte, Leonard Luka, and Tennishu (Butcher Brown). In addition to this album, they will also bring creative covers, improvisations, and synthesizer play to Blue Note ClubSessions.

Timetable

The doors of M open at 4:00 PM, allowing you to enjoy a drink and a jazz DJ. The live concert starts at 5:00 PM and lasts until 6:15 PM. To end the event on a high note, the jazz DJ will continue playing until 7:00 PM.
