During this lunchtime concert, the bachelor students from the Fontys Academy of the Arts (FAA) in Tilburg will present a diverse showcase of their current musical repertoire. They will perform a first (final exam) try-out of the impressive and challenging percussion composition "Goldrush" for a percussion duo, composed by Jacob ter Veldhuis. Additionally, "Marimba Spiritual" by Minoru Miki will be one of the highlights of this concert. This piece had its world premiere in 1984 at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, performed by marimba virtuoso Keiko Abe and the then-existing New Percussion Group Amsterdam. It is truly a beautiful composition that provides insight into traditional Japanese music.

During this concert, various types of instruments will be heard. From solo marimba to percussion setups where many instruments surround one or more players, ensuring a spectacular performance.
