The Loek van den Berg Quintet will keep you on the edge of your seat with their storytelling compositions, heartfelt improvisations and their fantastic control of their instrument. Jazz, but slightly different. And you feel it during their live shows. You are taken on a musical journey through the band's passion and enthusiasm. Over the years, the Quintet has developed its own playing style and sound, which is characterised by Loek's melodic compositions. The individuality of the members is central and each has their own style and sound. Room for their own interpretation, improvisation and interaction is of course a must, something that makes their concerts different and surprising every time.

In 2019, the Loek van den Berg Quintet appeared on stage for the first time. Since then, they have won many awards, played at festivals and venues all over the Netherlands and completed several international tours. At the concert, they will play songs from their debut album "Wayfarer." They are visual and narrative songs that take you on a journey through different landscapes and musical cultures.

Blue Note ClubSessions

Every other Saturday, established names and surprisingly emerging talent from the contemporary jazz and soul scene take turns in an informal club setting at Blue Note ClubSessions. At Meneer Frits, the focus is on combining socializing with enjoying top-notch live music.

Are you a fan of the Blue Note ClubSessions? Then order a Blue Note ClubCard, allowing you to purchase 10 tickets for only €75. That's a €50 discount! 

The ClubCard has a scratch-off layer revealing a unique code. You can use this code to order your Blue Note ClubSessions tickets online prior to the concert. The ClubCard itself does not grant access to the concert, so make sure to order your tickets beforehand. The ClubCard is valid for all Blue Note ClubSessions in the 2023/2024 season, which runs until July 2024. 

You can choose to have the ClubCard delivered to your home for an additional fee or pick it up at our box office. Don’t forget to bring the order confirmation.

Timetable

The doors of M open at 4:00 PM, where you can already enjoy a drink and the music of a jazz DJ. The live concert starts at 5:00 PM and will last until 6:15 PM. To wrap up the event nicely, the jazz DJ will play until 7:00 PM.
